The life of the blasty

Well I picked up this 01 Blasty about a month and a half ago. I got it for cheap and knew it'd be a project. The lady I bought it from had the top end already at the machine shop and a new piston waiting for it so the top end was nothing I was worried about. She had blown it up at the dunes and her and the boyfriend who started the work had split so she wanted it gone.




This is what the bottom end looked like from sitting in this ladies barn opened up for a year.

I got the bottom end cleaned up, got a new pipe for it, air filter, a few odds and ends here and there and today put everything back together and got the engine in the bike. After giving it the once over the bike fired right up and ran GREAT!! Here's an almost finished picture. Just need to get a new clutch cable and a new chain for it and tighten down the rear plastics and its all done! This was a fun little project!

That was some nasty stuff the seller had breeding in that crank case!

The machine application guide on rockymountain says 520x92 for the chain so thats what I ordered but its probably 4-5 inches short!!! Lots of linkies needed...
