| When I bought my Blaster the guy got it all setup for racing. It has very low compression (around 80 psi) and he said he disconnected the rev limiter. I need to bore out and put in a new piston, and do not want to blow the engine being I am not going to be racing that competitively. He pointed out 2 white connectors, one of which being this one above the carb: ![]() And said if I replug them back in I will have a rev limiter again and wont have to wrory about overrevving and blowing the engine. This has the tors out, Motion pro twist, and idle kit. Is this true? How can I stay on the safe side? Thanks -Pat |

| Yeah he installed a tors eliminator kit. That plug is no longer needed.

| just dont hold the thottle till it blows. the T.O.R.S. is only a safety feature that Yamaha put on there in case the throttle gets stuck. its junk and they almost allways become faulty at some point. just use your best judgement.

| yes. that plug is for the tors and without the stock carb top it is useless. as was mentioned the blaster has no rev limiter, the engine rpm's are limited by the fuel and exhaust system. for what it's worth in my opinion your better off without the tors because as was mentioned it's a grand idea on paper but in the real world it's a problem waiting to happen. countless hours have been spent by both blaster and banshee owners troubleshooting problems with there bikes due to failure of the tors system...
