Default Rear caliper ratched spring (part number)

My brother bought a 1995 Blaster, but the rear brake didn't work at all.
We disassembled the rear caliper and found out the ratched and ratched srping were missing :s. I found the part number of the ratched, but the spring is not on part schemes such as on bikebandit or cycle-parts.

Does any one know the partnumber of it, or does it come together with the ratched or another part ?

Thanks a lot

I dont have an answer for you. But I am sure somewhere on here someone knows an easy way to convert to hydrolic brakes. You could problably buy a used caliper and master cylinder on eBay for cheap.
You will be happier in the end.

I know, but my brother has a small budget for now, so we'd like to fix the current caliper if possible. The parts seem to cost only a couple of $$ so...

I also looked at the bikebandit schematic. Not really clear, but I know what part you are talking about. Part #12 in the rear caliper diagram is listed as a spring, but in the picture it doesnt look correct. I would put a post in the "wanted" forum to see if someone has one laying around. Or if you can do the ebay thing,
Here is a few links to consider:

I just ordered #11 and #12, it's about 5$ together. The dealer didn't know for sure either, but #12 is called 'spring' so I'll take a chance on it.

Speaking of hydraulic again, if you ever decide to go that route, the 03 and up blasters have hydraulic. I dont know if any frame mounts are different, but you could always look into used parts for them. Although I would imagine if its an easy swap, the demand would be high from blaster owners.
My old blasters rear brake worked pretty well, but those front brakes are POS.

Good luck with those new parts!
