Default 2001 Blaster Big Bore Update

Well, I finally had a chance to take out my Blaster today for the first time since the mods were completed. WOW!!!!!!! I never new such power could derive for such a little quad! I weigh about 135 lbs and the quad threw me around. Many thanks to flattrack for setting me up with all of the right stuff. Thank god I didn't have him port it for me. The front end comes up from 1st thru 3rd, then it hits some "funky" powerband. I couldn't tell what the "top end" was because I haven't had a chance to install my hydra brakes yet and the stock brakes just wouldn't stop me soon enough. In closing, if anyone is looking to almost double their HP on a Blaster and they have a few extra $ I suggest have talking with flattrack about the kit he had supplied to me. Next is Blaster #2...the "the beater".

Yup... once you give that engine a little more displacement and let it breath easier it really wakes up. The Blaster chassis is so light and tossable it can get hairy with just a bit more power. I would strongly suggest a longer wider stance... it makes a world of difference.

Your blaster is really looking sweet... congrats!!

I thought about widening it up; but 90% of our riding is on trails and the narrower the better on some of these trails. Very rarely will I be doing the sort of riding that I did yesterday, 20 acres of flat out open throttle. I do like the idea of an adjustable width axle. I have to talk to flattrack about a price.
