| son's blaster has mods like 240, pipe, reeds, been running great, now has great throttle response at idle or quick jab at throttle but if open up throttle or put under load nothing, checked compression, replaced reeds, cleaned carb, any suggestions, I think something electrical like coil or tors? Someone now how to check? |

| check the simple stuff first: fresh fuel mixed at a good ratio ? fresh NGK B8ES plug too? how about a clean airfilter ? whats the plug look like ? cleaned the carb really meticlously and blew air /carb cleaner through its jets good?then retorque all the head and jug bolts to proper torque , its probably not the wrong jetting if it just started acting up and was running fine previously also do a electrical checkwith a tester

| tried all the simple stuff, even took off the big bore and put stock cylinder back on with the exact same result, great running at idle but nothing under load. |

| This may sound stupid... but check the pipe for obstructions. I spent a lot of time and effort trying to get one of my blaster engines jetted right last summer. It had the same symptoms you're talking about... I went through all the simple stuff two or three times, kept chasing the jetting around... NEVER could get it right. Finally I threw another engine in the quad and had the same symptoms. For some reason I finally decided to pull the silencer off, only to find the stuffing had dislodged and packed into the tail pipe so tight the exhaust could barely escape. Repacked the silencer and she ran like a top!! I really doubt that's your problem... so it's just a suggestion. To me your problem sounds like a jetting or electrical issue.

| Just an observation...if you still have the TORS you're running a stock carb; that surely isn't doing the Big Bore Kit much justice.
