| I Have A 2001 Yamaha Banshee that only has a boost bottle on it. I ordered K&N Clamp on Kit and I was wondering what you would recomend jetting the banshee to. I have stock Jetting in the banshee now which i think is a 200 main but im not sure. Thanks |

| I on the other hand beleive boost bottles are more of a combined mod. If you have reeds that are stock a boost bottle won't do to much. If you have aftermarket reeds then your boost bottle is actually storing fuel/air mix. I have a 1dirracing Thrust bottle and it has a removable bottle so I can change it to a larger size or go with a stock tube. THe larger bottle is mostly for Drag Racing. So in short since you have stock reeds I would say the boost bottle is not providing to much since you stock reeds are limiting the flow of air/fuel. Does a boost bottle require rejetting the answer would be NO it only acts like a storage tank for when the motor wants more air/fuel. Just my 2 cents

| a boost bottle really doesn't come into play until you have a aftermarket carb setup. a banshee comes stock with 2 26mm carbs rite? well if you take those off and put 2 35's on it and say you get a port job. you throttle responce isn't goin to be as good. but if you get a boost bottle the air fuel mixture is already there just waitin to enter the engine. thats all they do. they shouldn't change jetting or peak hp in any way. maybe widen the powercurve a tiny lil bit. |
