is there a coolent plug on my shee

just wanted to know if there is a coolent drain plug on my banshee. too lazy to look. got this noss head and dont realy want to yank the hose every time i change the domes.

Nope, however, you could remove the waterpump cover, I usually just pull the hose into a clean bucket..

I'd purchase an EZ-Drain Waterpump Cover. Then next time you want to drain it all you have to do is take off the plastic cover and open the drain bolt. I have one and I really like it.

Actually yes there are two coolant plugs. On the outside of both jugs, about half way down. THey just look like bolts but they are in fact drain plugs.

They aren't drain plugs, they are bleeders to get the air out when you refill the coolant. If you'd use them as drains you'd still have all the coolant below those bolts left in the motor.

Actually you're right, if you just drain it from the bolts you would still have to remove the bottom hose, however, the owners manual does refer to them as drain plugs. I cant see them being bleeders because the coolant is always over the top of them. I typically remove the "drain bolts" and when its below their level I remove the both hoses.
Also, like the reference to Caddyshack in your profile. Possibly one of the funniest movies ever mad, besides of course Smokey and the bandit and dumb and dumber.

I never read the manual. I just used them to help get some of the air out of the head. I'm going to be happy I got the ez-drain though, cuz my PWR radiator is on its way!

Here's how that drain plug works. I just removed 4 bolts (3 for the plastic cover, 1 for the black drain plug) to drain my coolant before putting my PWR radiator on. It flies out of that hole if you have the radiator cap off.

I can't remember where I got it off-hand. I think I got it from Nac's. I'd suggest the high-flow impellar too (if you don't already have one) if you're going to get the ez-drain. You have to take the side cover off to put that on. It's easy to do and I think it's probably a good investment.

It really doesn't matter where you get them from, but I think Nac's was one of the cheapest I found a few months ago when I got them.
