my 03 banshee is completely stock with the acception of an uni air filter, my question is do i need to rejet to run it in the winter or is this thought of by the factory for were its sold. i live in upstate new york and i might wanna ride at say 10 degrees at the lowest temp. it gets a lot colder but i wont be riding then. plugs color great now, not sure what stock jet is but the manual usually says thier 200's. do i need to go richer or should stock be ok? thanks Ed oh im in the mountains a little bit but probably not too high in elevation maybe 1000 ft? how do i find that out also? thanks again ![]()

don't worry about elevation. thats only good for a starting point. and since ur rite on now dont worry about it. when it gets colder the air is denser so you will need to richen the mixture. i have a blaster the stock jet is a 230....i think a shee is 210 but not positive on that at all lol. i'd say for temperature changes the most you will proly need to go up is one main jet size.

of course your motor will run like a champ when its cold...it leans it out and colder air against an air cooled engine...all factors for a lil more zip. and even with a change like having your bike jetted for 70 degree weather to 10 degree weather may mean one main just size. this normally won't hurt ne thing in a short run. if you prefer not to rejet and leave the machine site get it out once a week kick her over warm it up and put it away. the easiest way out there for ther person that doesn't wanna tinker. get an egt guage and a dial a jet. the guage will tell you how far to turn the dial to get it pretty close with lil effort in lots of climates. i think a dial a jet can go + or - 3 jet sizes.
