Another light question

Awhile ago i posted on here asking about lights. I've decided to get HID lights. I was thinking about getting them from trailtech. Do you recommend another company? As far as i know all i have to do is get a regulator/rectifier and a capacitor(i dont wanna have the added weight of a battery)

Oh i forgot to add they said you could do it on a banshee and blaster get those two things from them and it says float the ground in the stator??? I dont know if this will work its their directions though check it out at www.trailtech.net

Ok i went on baja designs' website and they will float the ground in the stator for $30 and it will take half an hour. Can i do this myself or have it done cheaper?? I just want to get some better lights for the thing especially now that i put my exhaust on and will need more light. Altogether(with handlebar mounted lights and frame mounted lights) its $575

Check rickystator.com they have some aftermarket lights. I don't know about the whole ground floating thing but I do know if you co with HID lights you can use the stock stator. I will do some checking and I will let you know something about the ground thing.

well i got a 2003 and the light on that thing is bright as hell you cant like even look at it on highbeams. you should get the light thats in the 2003.

I agree with blaster. Considerin youre bike is now a 2000 year the light has probobly worn a little

Yeah the light is different mines pretty bright for stock but i ride in tight trails and wide open 6th gear runs. So i wanna get somethin super-bright!

P.S.- the light has barely been used the last owner was a friend of ours he never used he was the first owner i have used it a couple of times but i want something brighter

I think im gonna get the trail tech HID lights but thanks give me any info on the floating the ground that you find
