VIN Decode

Anybody know how to decode the VIN on a 70 something DT100

vin= 437-001726

I don't even know what year it is.

I Seriously doubt anyone has that kinda info, if you can find a manual/repair manual for it thats your best bet. No ones gonna have any specific info on a bike that old.

You could try a dealership...

on your front fork or neck, right above the fender should have the year and vin stamped into the metal. My 74 bike has it there and every other 70's bike i have seen has it there too... Id try checking there, if not, maybe search google and look for a picture that is identical to yours. In the 70's it was comon for them to change every year just a little bit but you can always tell the difference in a bikes year.

the dt100 has a sticker label on the neck and can wear from the cables rubbing on it. i had the same problem thats how i know. i did have 2 honda sl's and there info was stamped into a plate and them rivited to the frame.

to search on here you need more posts. i think its 10 before it works.
