| It's a 1974 Honda MR50 Elsinore. It's apart being restored as well. The frame was just finished being painted and I just put the new tires on it. The rest of the bike is in the shop so that the parts don't get scrathed while the chassis is being finished. Picked up the bones for $75 on ebay. |

| Thats pretty sweet... One of the first dirtbikes I rode was an elsinore 125.

| I love all the elsinores but the 125 was always my favorite. Still looking for one for the colection. |

| Those are all sweet, or will be eventually. =) I picked my DT from a guy who said, "50 bucks, get it the hell out of my garage, its been in my way for 10 years." I asked him if it ran and he's like, "well, it did when I quit riding it, but my son chopped the source coil out of the magneto so now its junk cause Yamaha discontinued the part." So i figured whats 50 bucks gonna hurt? Maybe I can rig something up to work. It turns out that his kid cut out the lighting coil, which is still available, but the way its wired, you have to have both coils hooked up for the bike to run. so I spent probably a week getting that straightened out, and like another 150 bucks for all the stuff cause I figured I should change the points and condenser and stuff while I was in there. Now I'm having problems getting it to run right, anything over 1/2 throttle and it falls on its face, but its not a jetting issue. 370 and I tore that carb apart 6 ways from sunday and jetted up and down and changed needle positions to no avail. I did a compression check and am only getting about 65-70 PSI out of it, so I'm gonna put a top end in it and go from there. Judging by the couple rips down the road that I took, its got some hella top end. Running like complete garbage it would do 55-60 on the road and thats with another gear to go. It would just bog out in 5th. ANyways, I'm really diggin the old-school dirtbikes. THey appeal more to my trail riding nature. I can't wait to see what mine does, it'll be my first experience with a dirtbike.

| yeah that 100 is real similar to mine. a few differences, but it almost looks like the frames are identical. I actually don't know a whole lot about the old school dirtbikes, even though I like them a lot, is that a DT100? I'll post my pic here, its tough to see as an avatar. this one's not mine, but identical, and mines missing the taillight.
