| So I go back home on Saturday and my friends told me there was a present for me. They used the loader to make a nice jump. We were screwing around on it for awhile on Sunday morning. Then we'd get the loader and make is a lil bigger from time to time. Well I followed the loader back the last time on the banshee and I couldn't shift right. I don't know if it was from the stress I was putting on the quad, but if I shifted up the shifter would stay up as if the return spring was broken. So I went back to the garage and decided to pack it in. An hour later, after shooting off a bunch of rounds with the 300, we went back to the garage and my friend was moving the shifter around with his hand and it worked fine. I took it for a ride and went through all of the gears fine. I am going to take the clutch cover off and put a new gasket on it (there's a very slight seepage on the back part of it), but does anyone have any suggestions as to what happened? I'm going to chalk it up to dirt getting in if it doesn't act up again.

| I think I remember that being on the clutch side right? I can't remember off the top of my head. I might take that off tonight or tomorrow and see if there are any burs or knicks out of it that would be preventing it from getting over the peaks.

| What do you use when you seal up that cover? Last time I used a gasket and some threebond (I don't remember what kind). I was going to buy a tube of yamabond and goop up both sides of the gasket to get the best seal I just don't know what one would be better 4 or 5. Probably 4 cuz it sounds like 5 would become hard. Anybody have any suggestions???

| I use Permatex ultra blue, it seals great and still can get it to let go next time you want to take it off. Look at the hook that grab the shift star. Make sure they are not bent. Also that the shaft does not push to far through, so that the hook is missing the star. |

| well brett i just toss the dry paper gasket in there and tighten tha beaaatch back down. screw using gasket sealer or permatex. from the factory they just use a dry gasket. if it works on a smal block chevy it'll work on your banshee. not to mention i have done this on a few shees over the years too |

| if your gonna use gasket selaer then why even use a gasket??? hell coatign a paper gasket with sealant means your really only using the sealant. if you just want it to stick to the cover so you donl;t have to fumble with it then i'd just get soem permatex gasket tack that'll kinda glue it to the cover and you can toss it back on pretty easy that way and it;s not a gasket sealer |

| Yeah, I thought about just throwin the gasket in it. I have the allen bolts in it so I can tighten it pretty good. I have to wait until the order gets here on thursday so I have plenty of time to make the decision. ![]()
