if ya really wanna have fun against your buddy, put a PC pipe on for a 92 yz250, put in the 92 yz250 jetting specs, and VF3 reeds and enjoy feeding him a dirt dinner

He has got a 2001 RM 250. Hes got a hot rod, VF3 reeds, FMF pipe. I got a 92 WR250 with PC pipe, but running a FMF fatty for a YZ250, boyseen reeds. Maybe its just time for a new bike

well damn man. my dad's got a 96 WR250 that smokes my 2000 yz250 in a drag past 5th gear. what kinda racin you doin?

if you do what mx said with teh yz parts... rermerber to get a YZ flywheel

I thought about getting my yz250 ported as well but with that comes a heavyer flywheel to keep that damn front end down.

get a yz bottom end(gearing)as its a close ratio.I got a 90 and im not to sure if anythings been done to it but ive yet to be outrun.i outran a gsxr750 untill 75 mph!the bike has a pro circut and boysden reeds but someone said they came stock with them?

nah the yamaha's don't come stock with boyesens or PC. those are aftermarket

thats what i thought,but my buddy has a 94 yz and he swears its a (factory race package)id say you and i are right
