 New member, looking for parts Hello all! Tried the search, but it won't boot up. I just picked up a 1983 YZ 490, for free, and looking for rebuild parts for the engine. Is is even worth putting any money into it, since it's so old? Be easy on the Newbie!      |

| one question...do you think you can handle that "outdated" machines power...and how would you like to be able to fly with a twist of the wrist...im sure someone has parts for you

| I was hoping to just get it running first, it looks like its going to need a new rod, and I found a cylinder and piston on Ebay. Can I still get gasket kits and OEM parts like that at the dealer? |

| umm i grabbed a rod kit on ebay for my 490 for 50 bucks . rod .b end bearing, crank pin .. etc 50$ he got burned .its going in my spare 490 maybe i find a unwanted triz somewhere? to save rj or annybody else time here are yamahas part numbers i got . you may want to cross reff them . but the guy i got em from rebuilds cranks .. yamaha's part numbers rod 3r5-11651-00 i know this is correct for the 490 and the 465 . pin 3r8-11681-00 big end bearing 93310-425p2 rod thrust washers 90209-25085 i still need crank bearings and seals . he rj how about pming me a price on a gasket kit? when i am readdy {or have some extra cash to spend..} thanxz
