| I hope you made some strong engine mounts cause that thing is gonna vibrate like a sum bich when you ride it. and you might want to keep a eye out for cracks in the frame, cause the heavy vibration will surely spread em open pretty good. my brother has a wr500 motor (same as the yz490) in a blaster frame and it vibrates very bad. here soon we're gonna start over and make some new rubber engine mounts to try and ease the vibration and then it should be ready to finish up and set up for the dirt drags. but yours is looking pretty nice so far, that motor looks good in that frame. and not sure if you tried it, but it looks like you might could fit like a cr500 exhaust on it, the kind that sticks close to around the motor and curls out, in stead of the 250r-style exhaust.

| i have a few hrs total of riding time on it.I trying to fine tune the ignition timing and jetting etc.I did use rubber mounts on nthe bottom front. It does vibrate but not as much as i would have thought. It doesnt numb my hands like everybody said. While it uses a 250r pipe as a base, its been heavily modded to work with the big bore.Exhaust temps would have been at a all time high with the smallish 250r stinger on it.2 stroke exhaust like high temps(but to a point) to increase the speed of the sound which makes the return wave more pronounced which acts like a "supercharger" more or less.Anyway its not pretty(yet) because im trying to get max oomph from it.I truly am almost afraid of this thing,no joke its pretty ignorant... |
