| Hey, long time no post. I have since sold my 79 YZ 125, and picked up a 1982 CR 125 that I am going to fix up. I think the fixing up part keeps me sane ![]() Anyways this was my YZ 100 when I got it home. It was destined to be nothing more than a parts bike and sat outside the previous owners place for years. Bike was dead, engine seized, no spark, wrong shock, probably not worth fixing. I stripped it down to the frame, the bottom end got new seals, and I had it bored it .100" over [had to] with a new Wiseco top end kit. I found out when I yanked the motor apart that it was ported, quality of the work I don't know. I ended up having to cut the cylinder base and reed gaskets out of paper b/c I couldn't find any. Got new side number plates, and rear fender [for a YZ 465, wanted a different look I guess] from DC, and bought some odds and ends on Ebay like a rear sprocket, a rear rim and other stuff I can't remember. I painted the tank with Fusion [y'all recommended, thanks!]. This was a few weeks ago: ![]() ![]() ...

| Last week: ![]() I will never paint engine cases flat black again, I dunno wtf I was thinking. Here it is as of tonight: ![]() ![]() ![]() It runs awesome, I took some vid, and will post it later. Is it common for the bike to not want to idle too hot for the first few mins of run? It idles great now, I chalked it up to "wearing in" lol. Anyway considering how it looked I am kinda happy, I still have to put the chain on, and want to paint the bars grey like the frame, just little stuff left. Sorry for the length.
