Exclamation crankcase oil

hey guys what oil do i need to run for the clutch on my blaster. A friend of mine said that he thought regular 10-w40 would work but wasn't sure. I had a cr500 dirtbike once and the oil i put in for the clutch on it was a red color and cost about $8.00 a bottle. What do ya'll recommend

get amsoil 10w40 high performance synthetic motorcycle oil or 75-90w amsoil gear oil. Either one works well. But if you cant access amsoil just use any 10w-40 motor oil for now.

Dont use a car motor oil it will eat your clutch due to the anti friction properties. Buy some ATF and put it in there. All the big drag racers are running ATF now, I tried it in my roomates banshee I just ported and it works great.

i heard using normal car oil can cause bubbles or foaming and mess shit up...so i wouldn't recommend using it, i'd just head to a atv/dirtbike dealership. I use Motul 2 stroke Case oil, 10w 40

atf does work but needs to be changed way more frequently and you need type F
i dont use it but the drag guys swear by it because it has such low friction and drag on your clutch and crank ,think of it this way swath your hand through a thick oil in a pail now swath your hand through a very thin watery oil ina pail, your hand will move much more freely and faster through the thin oil, but it doesnt protect as good over time which is why youll need to change it out more often.ive seen fryed clutches for m running atf to long . also be aware car oil ratings are not the same motorcycle ratings if you insist on buying car oils at walmart atleast get castrol gtx 20w-50 and be aware that many car synthetic oils contain polybendum which makes your clutch slip and really screws it up on a motorcycle /atv clutch setup, ive run castrol for years and really liked it ,but im a klotz man and im switching to klotz flex drive gear saver this spring .synthetic is the bomb ,but it has to be the right synthetic without all the car detergents and anti wear additives

Yeah Klotz all the way. But I'm still going to ATF. I ran plain ol MERC 3 in my buddies banshee seems to be working clutch never slipped. I have always changed my tranny oil every two maybe three rides anyway so ATF it is.

I like Klotz but I got some silkolene light gear oil and just changed the oil in the banshee and I plan on putting it in the blaster soon. It's a bright blue color!! Really shocked me when I started pouring it out the first time.
