Angry Blaster motor problem

After buying my blaster motor off of ebay i noticed that the bottom of the connecting rod was scraping on the bottom of the bottom end. It has put a grove into the metal where it is scraping. What do you think would be making it do this? What would i have to replace? I hate ebay!! but i guess you just have to take the chances...

Had the same problem with one of mine. The lower rod bearing was trashed so bad it pushed a needle thru the oil groove in the rod and ate a hole thru the bottom of the cases. I got the engine that way so I can only imagine how someone would ride it so long after the wear became obvious. The damage would have required the whole rod kit be replaced. If you cant do the work yourself, having a rod replaced is about the same cost as a Wiseco Hot Rod crank. The rod kit is between $70-100, depending on where you get it, and the labor is between $50-150 depending on where you take it. The Wiseco crank is $179 average price. Thats just better-than-stock replacement, though. Stroker rods, ask around. I havent played with the Blaster enough to look into those yet.

Ok it sounds like thats whats happening. Thanks alot. Well i guess im gonna split the cases today and figure this shit out. If i do need a new crank what should i get for more power? What does stroking do and should i do it for more power and how much would it cost? Thanks.
