Damn Clutch

Took the clutch off and was going to drill out the rivets but to get the gear on the back off but didn't want to risk it with out having a drill press. So I brought it down to the dealer for him to do. Wish I had a drill press it would make lots of things very easy.

The good news is hopefully it will be done before the weekend and I will be able to get the banshee back together. Damn I really want to hear the banshee running

I have to do this when I get around to installing my Hinson basket. I wish baskets would just come with the gears instead of requiring the use of the OEM gear. Does anybody know why they don't come with their own gear?

Probably the stock gear is fine.

Anybody run straight cut gears on theirs?

I'm sure the stock gear is fine, but I'd just like the gear to be part of the basket so that you didn't have to cut the gear off of the OEM basket and so there weren't so many screws spinning around in there. Oh well. I can't wait to get it on and go riding, but it will be a while before our normal riding spot dries out because it's low ground and bordered by a nice size creek.

If you want the gear on the basket, buy the Hinson basket with straight cut gears!! (for high HP machines) I'll only run you about $700 bones!!

Until then, maybe $200 w/ machine work doesn't sound too bad, eh?

I got mine apart for free brought it right down to the dealer

The clutch is a great thing. Mine hits so hard now that I have the basket and clutch kit.

My LT250 is going to be running race cut gears
