whenever i want to know if parts are the same for different years of bikes, i head to

http://216.37.204.205/Yamaha_OEM/YamahaATV.asp

Enter the year and make of your bike. Find the part you need and add it to your shopping cart. Then go back and enter the year and make of the part you are interested in. Find the part and add it to your cart. Check out your cart. If the part numbers are the same, then the part will for sure be compatible.

also, if you get discouraged from getting outbid, i have a spare set that i'd part with reasonably. they're powdercoated a gawd-awful orange at the moment, but nothing a little blasting can't cure.

if you can get them at a low price i would go with a year closed to yours just to be safe. if i remember correctly the 87 hub the bigger bolt pattern if i'm not mistaken. someone correct me if i'm wrong here

A set of durablue ones came with my banshee. You oughta feel just how light they are when compared to the stock ones.

I would just get a set of used ones and not chance it by trying to straighten the old one.
