Default jetting ?

ok guys i'm having to rebuild my blaster cause the rod is loose so i'm putting in a new wiseco hotrods rod and crank. Anyway i milled the head .035 to increase compression for more power, it has a right hand side pipe, boyesen pro series reeds and open airbox with K&n filter. What size main jet should i start with when i get the motor back together? Also the motor is bored .060 over or 67.5 mm with wiseco piston. i have a stock carb. thanks for the help

I'd start fat obviously.... depending on your altitude it sounds like a combination that'll need 280 to 300. It's a really hard thing to tell someone what jet combo is right without being there and hands on with the machine. But start at 300 and see how it goes. It's probably gonna be fat... but better safe than sorry.

Did you get rid of the oil injection yet?

"Rule of thumb", Piped 2-3 jet sizes, airfilter 1-2 sizes, airbox mods usually don't need main jet changes, pipe and airfilter 3-4 sizes, milled head USUALLY requires octane changes not main jet changes. Buy the next 5 larger sizes than current, start at the 5th and work down. Buy new plugs to jet with, they are an enormous aid in jetting.

280 should be close unless your near sea level, then id guess around 300.milling the head .035 should not require race fuel unless your timing is way advanced
