Talking blaster piston help pleeease

i have a blaster that my son rides with me and his piston got scored up and left some marks in the cylinder wall.nothing major they will come right out.but i measured the piston on the skirt it measured about 67.87.then measured right above the top ring and it was 67.54.also measured the jug couple inches down from top and got 67.84 and couple up from bottom and got 67.77.if im right im going to need an .80 over kit to fix this right??im going to bore it just so ill have a clean install and everything tight.how about shaving the head a little any luck with that to get a little more out of it.bike has boyseen reeds with a dg front pipe and an fmf silencer.let me no what you guys think.

Your right on with the .080 over as being the size you need that will be a 573M06800 Wiseco part # you can safly shave .035 of the head to gain a little more umph on the bottom. IF your looking for a good up grade to that run I stock a Namura power piston that has a little port timing built in to it to help in the power department ..They realy wake up the little blaster ..It comes in a complete top end kit Gaskets, Pin , Bearing and clips...$110.00. .080 should not run hot enough to cause any problem as long as you are jetted right and not on the lean side... best of luck on the rebuild....Any questions feel free to ask....

No but it will help there is a better way to advance timing that involves slotting the stator plate and it's free.. You should of saved your cash on the jet kit and just purchased the jets separate it would of been a lot cheaper and just as good even with the work your doing you wont have to change pilots or needles in the carb but just clip positions on the needle and larger mains and a slight Air screw adjustment. You might want to invest in a good air filter and do away with the air box lid to let the motor breath a little better. and get a tors removal kit for the carb it will make life so much easyer.....
