I am currently running 110LL avuation fuel, which checks in at 2.95 / gallon. Mind you, this is in a place where unleaded regular has just gotten back below 3.00/gallon (2.99 is the cheapest I have found : ). Best thing about it, the gas is just around the corner, there is a local privately owned airport just up the road from my house!

Yea We Have A Local Airport With Av Fuel But It Is Only 100 Octance, Not Enough For My Banshee. Yea Are Gas Is Down To $2.65 Right Now, Still To High!

yo u must only run blue colored 100ll which is =100 octane
itl lwork for your banshee belive me you cant make that stuff detonate if you wanted too ,unless you have the wildest setup ive ever heard of on a banshee or a very wrong squish band clearance. lead is a natural very powerful anti detonating agent that keeps detonation at bay on 300+ psi small aircraft engines.

its all compression evil. my cr250 had a lil too much shaved off the head and i could run no less than 110. pinged like hell when i used 104.

i agree but also disagree..ignition timing ,porting ,how hot a spark, alot of things come into play detonation. i know of peeps on a couple sites with very advanced timing ,drag ported 4 millcubs and very high compression who run av gas at glamis on scorching hot days and have no prbolems with detonation . 100ll will resist detontation moreso than 100 octane race gas will even though its rating is identical !!!!!
