Default Uni Filter

I bought a UNI to get rid of the K&N. do you have to have the stok filter to use the UNI filter. or is there something else you have to buy, that i didn't?

Not sure I have a Toomey 2-1 Uni filter. and the filter that comes with that is a metal piece inside to give it ridgedness.

If I find something I'll let you know

dude. my K and N almost killed me. i cleaned it the right way with their re-charge kit and followed the directions and everything. then i got riding and my throttle sticks before a jump. i ended up killing it just in time for me to jump off the quad and not get killed. tore my carb down and found dirt scratched up my carb slide......k and N kills!

see k&n filters are high air flow filters, which is good BUT also bad the high airflow makes good power but with more air getting through the filter that fast it lets alot of micro dirt deposits in, which will kill a motor

The K&N are good but like they said it lets in alot of dirt. It all just depends on what type of riding you do. I ride the sand and dusty conditions so I go with the UNI. I admit it does restrict some air flow but the UNI is the best foam filter you can buy.

i don't agree with the part about "it depends on what kind of riding you do". i was riding on a moist mx track..hardley any dust or air particles. it just didn't do its job. in sand...omg, thats like asking for your throttle to stick if you run a K&N. i love my uni 2-stage. K&N need to stick to cars and trucks and briggs&straton. i will never run a K&N ever again in my R.
