Smile banshee idles, but won't go

I just bought a 98 banshee - looks stock. It ran good after new gas, but suddenly would not rev up after about an hour and a 1/2. Starts and idles, but just makes a sucking noise when the throttle is opened. What does the micro switch in the throttle cable thumb end housing do?
Should I convert to Trinity Racing single carb?
Any advise will be greatly appreciated!

Parking brake safety switch mean anything to you guys? It was not connected to the brake handle, but black taped closed and stuffed under plastic. tape let go so that it thought the park brake was on. thanks for your help anyway!!

Sounds like you are sucking air somewhere. Check all your carb boots to see if they are tight. You could have a pluged jet. Just somethings to check. I am sure Banshee and 370 can get you shee back in business. Just a few things I could think of to check.

yea check your carbs and if possible check your crankseals, One of them may be heating up after you run it and expanding and thats where your getting your air leak

take the carbs out clean then, after that, check the throttle cable, make sure its not stretched or anything, and spray some wd40 down ur carbs for a air leak test

Also to do an air leak test and its a bit messy, take some ether or carb cleaner and spray it anywhere where there could be an air leak while the machine is running. If it picks up RPMS when you do this you will know where your leak is.
