on my o3 I have not been able to get the kicker off. I haven't really tried except once when it got all full of mud and it would not turn. I just took the powerwasher to it and that fixed it but mine is now starting to shake. Might have to look at that fix in the near future. I almost rather just get a billet kicker. Bling Bling good!!!!

Toomey Banshee; Thats a good fix, I like it . It's simple, effective and doesn't even require tools to put it on.

I PM'd him and I've been emailing him about getting mine redone. I'm probably going to get it done too.

Here is what I did. Put a piece of rubber hose on the kickstarter where your foot contacts. I think I used automotive fuel hose. Then remove the kickstarter nut and take the kickstarter off. Line the splines up so the kickstarter will contact the crankcase. I think you have to rotate it about 2 splines to the right from where you took it off. The kickstarter return spring keeps the lever from rattling by keeping it tight against the crankcase housing. The rubber hose should be making the contact with no metal on metal contact and no rattling. It is the easiest and cheapest way.
