can anyone tell me if someone besides motion pro makes a tors eliminator kit ? ive been having bad luck with there cables breaking on me and want to try something else. 2 in a month!! and both times i was on the trail while camping kinda put a damper on my trip

Toomey does also, that's what I got on mine. I actually ordered a motion pro kit and they sent me a Toomey kit instead, although I'd say that Motion Pro make the cables for all the kits.

I would think Motion Pro probably makes all the kits too, and are sold by Vito's or whoever.

What do these tors things do? I tried to search it and from what i read, it seems to replace the throttle in some way.

I might consider getting one for my dirtbike if they make one for mine.

The Blaster and Banshee are the only 2 strokes that I know of with a TORS... although I may be wrong there.

Essentially, it is supposed to kill the engine if the throttle sticks wide open. They often malfunction and cause electrical gremlins. they sit on top of the carb and make it a pain in the ass to re-jet or work on the carb.

TORS stands for "throttle overide system". Basically it consists of a few sensors a control module and the unit that connects to the carb. If the throttle sticks for any reason the TORS will shut the bike down so you dont kill yourself. Most everyone takes this off the bike as to prevent any problems(just 1 more thing to break). As far as I know the Blaster and Banshee only have this. You can probably adapt one to anything with a little wiring modification and a TORS set up off a Blaster but I don't think it would be worth the effort.

I dont think i would like such a thing. I agree, just one more thing that can break. It would seem pointless on a dirtbike. I'm glad i learned that the banshee and blaster have this though. It's interesting.
