| Make sure your choke assembly and O-rings are good, And check the needle and seat in the carb itself, Blow though the fuel inlet and hold the valve closed, listin for air Escaping....if so try and tighten it down.....My tri-moto did this too. |

| thanks for helping. i checked the reeds and they look fine, but not to sure about the carb. I would like to find a carb repair kit for it but it is really hard. does anyone know where I could find one? thanks |

| You cleaned the piston? did you use a new head gasket etc? Try start it by choking it and turning the kill switch on then kick it softly over about 4 times then unchoke and turn kill switch off and kick it over hard. When you cleaned the carb was jets/float settings/ everything looking good? if so you shouldnt need to rebuild it. Check the compression also

| Reeds should be firmly seated against the body of the reed cage

| as far as i can remember, all the parts in the carb were clean and looking good, although i can't say if they are operating correctly. it makes a compression of 110. i'm not sure what it should be, so if anyone knows, please respond. thanks p.s. i have refrained from taking it to a shop because i don't have the money to spend for other peoples labor. I am going to need as much money as possible for parts(they're expensive as shit!!!) |

| Try a shot of starting fluid in the airbox. If it starts up on ether then you know its a fuel/air related problem. If its still hard to start after a 2 or 3 shots of starting fluid in the airfilter then your problem is either spark or compression. -WARNING If it starts, Dont use the starting fluid to keep it running. Let it stall. Do Not Use Starting fluid on a regular basis. IT is for diagnosis only. Anything else will damage your motor.- You said the compression is 110psi. Although i dont know for sure, that seems a little low but it should still run. i would think. |

| My YT125 is a stock rebuilt motor with maybe 3hrs use. It has 160lbs of compression. You need to rering or do a complete top-end.
