Default 285cc Bore Kit

Hey, I just got a new toy...89 blaster..it has graydon nerfs,trinity racing exhaust,turf tamers,maxxis razrs,maier plastics,hidraulic brakes,k&n filter,baha bumper,vitos 240cc bore kit,plus the guy said it was ported after installing the big bore kit. My question is if anyone knows more about the 285cc bore kit trinity has. I was looking on there site and saw it but they dont have any info or a price. I want my blaster to kick some ass but i need a bigger engine mod...i only have 2 friends that ride 2 strokes and both are blasters. I will kill both of them, but my other 2 friends have a raptor and a raced up warrior. I need to at least keep up with them. The warrior I can keep up with the raptor just...you get the idea...i cant let my blaster beat by a 4poke...any thing you know of i could add would help too.

Oh wow i didnt know they made that kit. You should call them and find out about it. I might get that kit as long as its a reasonable price. But what i dont know about is the reliability of it a lot of these kits arent very reliable. Does anyone have this kit on their blaster?

your blaster should haul some good ass already with a 240 kit and a port job. I read somewhere that the 240 kit would beat a stock 400ex, does anyone know if thats true... and you definately should be beating that warrior unless he is insanly supedup... with a 240 kit I didnt think a warrior had a chance...

I agree. Your buddy's should be in your dust. And your probobly gonna be able to take some slowhundred ex's. But that kit you want would add a little more power. Im not sure how much more. So you might be better just keepin what you got now and save your money for other go-fast mods!

the only thing the 285 would be good for is dragging. it would be way to unreliable for regular trail, mx,etc use

you should be able to destroy 400exs with a good 240. do you know what brand it is? if possible take a picture of your exhaust ports becasue if you have trouble hanging with a raptor then im doubting how good a job was done with the porting

thanks everyone...its a vitos 240 bore kit...my friends warrior is all aftermarket..nothings stock on it. porting is perfect...just had the whole engine apart and cleaned everything(changed oil,gas,spark plug,etc.)..only thing was wrong that i saw was the gasket was torn up so i replaced it...i can kill 250,300,and 400 ex's with no problem. I cant take the raptor on start but today we did drag and i kept up but once he hits powerband in 6th he starts pulling away..i was ahead from 3-4th gear then he hit powerband in 4th and pulled ahead a little bit...i was surprised...i also dragged and lt250 which i killed. I didnt realize how fast this blaster was...all jetting is perfect...piston and rings are mint. I was reading up on the 285 kit and it said since it was so big i would need a whole new lower end cause the blasters lower ends arent reliable under alot of HP.

That is very good considering he has 460 cc more than you. Must be that briggs and stratton powerband on that crapter. lol

trinity isn't as good as they claim. and in what way would a 285 kit be unreliable...its just a bigger sleeve. it should be as reliable as stock.when you get into strokers thats a different story. cpcustoms offers a 240 kit and a 265 kit for a blaster. and those can be stroked out. a 265 kit with a 4mm stroker makes a 290 which he just got done makin a 290 motor for his wifes blaster and its puttin out around 60 hp at the moment....its a strict drag motor....but an incredibly strong mx motor would be that 265 kit with a 2mm stroker and a long rod. and his bottom end is handling the power...you do need a stronger clutch though. alot of guys that have gotten into this more have moved away from trinity.... they just aren't that great any more..but they do make good pipes. and the only reason that vitos 240 kit is good on ur blaster now is because its been ported.....their normal 240 kit gives like an average of 4hp gain over stock lol. until you port it then it opens up nice.

i can see y ur gettin beat cuz vitos sucks ass. there big bore kit is crap i say got with a ct racing 240 the whole package pipe port i think and reeds if im not mistaken its on www.projectblaster.com they have everything for blasters so if you need something go there.
