Banshee shift problem?

Having problems shifting from 3rd to 4th. It hangs in between gears. What causes this and how hard is it to repair?

not too sure what the problem is exactly but hear that is common on shee's...they sell a shift kit that eliminates the sloppy shifting...especially when you are pushin some nice power on the bike

Mine does the same shit, only it wont shift from any gear, to any gear, with or without the clutch, it just has to be at the sweet spot where the gears are synced up or it won't shift, i tore it apart and everything looked fine so.......maybe it is just that way with some banshees

I put shift cam in and it made a huge difference in shifting...very easy to install once the case is split. finding neutral is a breeze now

Did you use the Yakkey cam? I thought about getting one of those. Also, another thing you can consider is taking your clutch cover off, and taking off your shift star and having it milled. Eviltwin does it, and it makes shifting a hell of a lot easier. Milling it takes off the really sharp crowns and doesn't put as much tension on the little roller and spring, making the shift star roll a lot easier.

I heard milling is more for the racers for quick shifting without a clutch. It is not very good for average riders or for the bike...jm2c

You use the clutch to shift? I don't, except for neutral to 1st gear. Shift star mod benefits any rider, not just racers
