| well if the RZ PV's work like everyt other PV i've seen then you';d need the bottom end. but if they are electronic then i guess you could use just the jugs. ok the other thing you need is the canadian version of the RZ jugs has a funny exhaust flange and you need a set of adaptors. you can make them with 2 blaster flanges and a little welding. but your best bet is probably a crappy set of RZ pipes you can trim the spigots off of then use those to make your adaptors. anyway i've only heard good things. |

| i think im gonna buy it even though my jugs are getting ported as we speak.

| That motor should work out pretty good for you, but with those stock gears that thing is really gonna haul. I am looking at getting the RZ engine, and then putting the stock banshee gears in it to take advantage of the powervalves, and still be able to ride it on hills |

| That's awesome you'll have to fill me in on how everything goes with it. If it all goes well I'll have to pick up a set of jugs when I get the money.

To make the Rz power valve motor work as intended, you need to use the complete electrical system from the Rz That includes the stator, flywheel, wiring harness, power valve servo, CDI and the voltage regulator-rectifier, all parts should come from the same model year because not all parts can be mixed with other model years. I also know there is a connector issue, some changes were made... You might also want to consider a battery, the PV's go through a cleaning cycle everytime the ignition is switched on, to prevent gumming. I also know that the RZ stator makes a lot of power, so you can run some big ass lights if you wish. You might want to take advantage of the RZ shift forks, they ride on rollers instead of the pin found on the Banshee's shift forks. This makes for better shifting. Also as you propably know, the exhausts are bolt on type, as someone else mentioned, it's no problem making-up some flanges to match, the problem is you end up with clearance issues with some pipes because they are moved forward. Not sure which pipes... I'd love to hear about your progress on this project, I'm kinda thinking the same thing myself. |
