sum kind wanted to sell me a old yz360 bike for 350 bucks i was woundering if this thing was any good? i wasnt rele intrested in anything but the motor, and i was woundering if it had any power? and would it run better than a blaster motor? i never even heard of this thing untill this kid said it then i looked it up on google and seen one

enlighten me... i've never heard of a yz360.... i think it would be hard to find parts for..

A yz 360 is an old 70's air cooled 2-stroke, maybe even late 60's. If it is in decent shape it may be worth the 350 but yeah parts would be a really tough thing to find. If you were looking to put a motor in blaster there are better alternatives for not a whole lot more money.

First of all, the 360-390 engines (which are completely interchangeable) do NOT lack for parts on ebay. $350? I sold a decent running 81 390 engine on ebay for $425. The rest of the bike earned me over $1500 parted out.

A decent engine for the blaster? Been there, built 3 for customers. They SUCK, period. Sure the power is awesome. But you can only ride them for 1 minute before the hands go numbish, 3 minutes later you cant feel your feet. If you think you can ride a quad like that..................wait a couple more minutes for the headache from blurry vision. Yeah, it IS that bad. But only people who ride em know it.

Part it out on ebay. Buy a liquid-cooled YZ250 motor. You can build it up to similar power levels as the 360/390 but with half the vibration. Or better yet, get a 240 kit and have it ported properly.

i think ima go take a look at it on friday and check it out if its in decent shape ill just buy it and part it out on ebay hoping to get at lead 500 out of it. thanx alot guys

Side panels are a HOT item on ebay, fetching up to $200 for mint ones.

Step back on that, the 360 is all as stated, drop the 390 part, I was thinking about 465-490's. The YZ360 is a sought after motor for lots of RT owners and MX owners. The rest still holds.
