Well i started ripping the bike apart today wanted to post a few pics up so people can see the before and after.Im sure ill also have a lot of questions along the way so any help will be appreciated.I have not got much done yet as you can see in the pics but ill be working on it all weekend.I allready snapped two bolts off inside the frame it was the bolts for one of the front motor mounts. I will most likely be getting rid of the dc nerf bars that are on the bike so if anyone is interested let me know.Also ill be getting rid of the fmf pipes and silencers too but there rusted up so not sure if anyone is interetsed but if they are let me know i dont want much for them just offer me something reasonable.Also i would liek to get rid of teh plastics too there are practically brand new no cracks just light scratches.I would really like to trade somebody with black plastics because that is what i intend to put on the bike but i would require they be in very good condition.well thats it for now ill keep posting anything new..

Few more pics....I was wondering if anyone has suggestions as were to bring my frame and some other pieces to get powder coated.I would like to be able to drive to the place i dont really wanna ship anything if i dont have to i live in mass.I wouldnt mind driving 50 to 100 miles if need be.Also how should i prep the frame before i bring it to get powder coated.I will also be bringing the j-arms to get done also so any special prep i should do to them before getting them done.

what color of powder coat are you looking at?

usually when you take a frame to get powder coated all you have to do is take off everything you don't want painted and they'll do the rest.

I washed my frame before taking it in, but you don't have to.....I was checking it for cracks......

Im going to do the frame red.Im also going to bring teh motor mounts and a few other small parts.Some of which ill be powder coating black.So dont do anything? Ill def wash it first and check for cracks i havent come across any yet.Would sanding teh frame down save me any money?

black and red, good combo, id love to have my frame powdercoated dark red pearl color, like on the new raptors, and have all black eveything else

Yea i hope it comes out like im picturing it in my mind.Gotta wait and see im also looking at an alba graphic kit i believe im gonna buy to go on it.
