yeah thats definitely a kickass trade...so is that YZ a steel tank or plastic? its almost as antique as my old DT250...but you can actually take yours off road and jump it and stuff. the old DT ain't got the suspension for that. I bet it does good on trails though

Its a plastic tank. A nice ride even though on first site it looks rough. The guy was more interested in rebuilding mechanically before cosmetically. Smart in my opinion. Having been a tad deeper into it since getting it, it appears to have new clutches new reeds wiseco std piston and rings new crankbearings and a few other engine parts replaced. It seems to be in very good shape mechanically speaking. While a trade like that on the 'zilla is of course very rare look at it from that guys perspective. He was 6'4" if he was an inch. He had to have weighed in around 250lbs. A very big dude who wanted a 2-stroke toy that would perform under him the way a 250 does under a guy half his size. While I doubt he really found what he wanted, he thought he had and that was all that mattered to him. He didnt shut up long enough to find out if what he was offering was enough, he just kept adding without pausing between items. I was actually the one to stop him. He got into mentioning items like car parts for older muscle cars and stuff and I didnt have any interest at the time in that area. Sure, sometimes I might begin to feel a tad guilty about the trade but hey, he made the deal not me. I have a 1972 MX250 in pristine restored condition. I more than understand why your screenname is DT250
