| Hey. I picked up a 2000 YZ125 that has great stuff, but needs some work. I replaced some lower end parts, was looking for some experienced help on the carb and suspension. The bike was raced well and keep in good shape. She has some good after market features which made me look closer. The bike was blowing blue smoke when I bought and was not sure. The guy said it was running rich, the rings, mixture and reads were fine. For a bike as built up as it looked and with the number of other bikes in the garage it was sold. Question is; now that shes back together. Since I'm unsure of the jets, is it best to buy a kit to know what I have or just play with the adjustments and get what I can. I do not want to run too lean and burn it or just loose performance. The suspension issue is with the side cylinder. I never had such a tank was not sure what type of light gas is the best choice. I'm 175 lb and have the adjustment on the shock about half way. She beat my ass bone last week out for the first time. Not cool. Thanks in advance for any pointers. TH- |
