Sometimes Grooves can get wornt into the clutch basket making it hard for the disks to move properly.If grooves happen to be worn into your basket...just file them smooth and you'll be good. Try another oil also cause i think your right about the oil thickness thing. If all else failes....get a clutch kit for it.
