Hey everyone, I redid the topend in my 97 Banshee not too long ago. It ran strong for the first couple days. Starts first or second kick all the time. Now, it still starts great and will idle all day but as soon as I open the throttle the engine just bogs. It doesn't die but it won't pick up any RPMs. I'm thinking I have a TORS issue. Is the any way to bypass the TORS so I can be sure before I shell out the moolah for the eliminator kit?? Thanks for any info. Devin ![]()

Thanks man, After exhausting any ideas I had about it I took my machine to a shop in town. They said that they checked all the TORS stuff and that it was ok. So they decided to replace the ign coil and plug boots... Again no luck. then they figured I needed a new stator. Thats when I pulled the plug and got my quad outta there. But now I have to at least make it run like it did when I took it to them. Because they never really put anything back together at the shop. Fun Fun

unplug your parking brake sensor(in your clutch perch assembly), and tors control box (little black box up front on the left on the frame)

also, you should buy a tors eliminator kit anyways, they are total shit , trash, junk, they do nothing but cause problems and will eventually ruin your day, if they already havnt, spend $60 on the eliminator kit and idle screw kit, its more than worth it to spare yourself from aggrivation.

make sure you follow the parking break sensor wire from the clutch perch assembly down the wire to where there is a connection with the 2 big plastic connectors, and unplug it there, youll probabyl have to take your radiator shrounds off to get at it, without that parking brake sensor unplugged the motor will NEVER rev
