| alright so here it goes i got this blaster bout six months ago and stuck a wiseco piston kit in it, it ran like a champ again then i blew the motor and stuck a 4mm hotrods stroker crank in it the bike has fmf gold series exhuast on it and since i put the new crank in it will run hard and strong but its burning up the NGK B8es (i think thats the number) plugs up with like 5 min and their burning up black with like a lil redish dark brown tint to them and it runs hott real quick when your getting on it and when you start it up it revs real high with out touching the gas, i find one thing with it the dude i got it from said its been overjetted i checked the jetts the bike has the stock 230 jets in it but the bike was running strong before the crank and would a stroker cause this much problems and which carb should i get for it? ALL HELP IS APPRECIATED GREATLY!!! THANK YOU AND LOVE THIS SITE |

| youve prolly done this but make sure you dont have any air leaks between the carb and the jug.. |

| wut carb or jetts you think i need cause i got the 28mm mikuni cause i think the carb has ALOT to do with it and if the oil seals are bad will that cause and air leak? thank yall alot |

| u should prolly jet your carb richer or u could move the needle clip up a bit.....and i dont think trans oil seal would cause an air leak ...bad crankshaft seals or a crack in the carb boot would cause an air leak

| the left seal will suck air and lean it out... the right seal will drink/brun tranny oil sounds lean ,id jet up and id do a leakdow ntest and a check your squish clearance becuase i doubt whoever set the stroker spacing /clearance up knew wha t the ywere doing

| NAW i really didnt i just put the stroker crank in and crank it up andd got all these problems lol my buddy told me i would have to use a shorter shank plug on it cause of the clearence of the plug and the piston but i just put in the regular b8es ngk;s but how you check that? cause i know the top of the piston does come out above the jug a lil bit . and usually the only way to get it started is to spray alil startin fluid in or poor a lil bit of gas in the plug hole but it back fired when trying to start today and it blew a lil bit of smoke from behind the fly wheel ? thank yall |

| As Eviltwin said It's probably the left crankcase seal. I blew out the left side and my Blaster revved to the moon without me touching the gas. Is the head stock? I don't think it's possible for the piston to even reach a standard length plug without hitting the head first?

| Wouldn't a 230 main jet be too small for this setup? I would think at least a 260 main.

| 230 is way to small with a stroker...I was up around 290 with mine, and it was only ported and bored .040 over. I'm pretty sure 230 is about stock. And no, your piston won't hit the plug, its going to smash into the head first.
