YPVS help, 88 DT200

88 Dt200 with YPVS. Engine just rebuilt, when I chcked the YPVS the motor runs but it does not drive the YPVS sprocket to alter power valve position.
I have disassembled the plastic gear train, it looks like the brass gear on the servo motor needs to be moved out on the shaft so it will mesh with the plastic sprockets. Anyone have any experience with this system to offer advice?
