cylinder compression? help?

OK, so i finaly bought a compression tester this weekend..... cool little gadget... i checked the compression on my shee, and my blasty...... now...

the blaster had 132 PSI
.
the banshee had 128 PSI
.
.
.
is this good or bad?.... also, the instructions that came with the gauge said to hand tighten the fitting in the spark plug hole. is that tight enough? or should i have used a pair of pliers? i wasnt sure if 130 pounds or so was too much for a hand tightened fitting?

Sounds fine to me! My Comp Tester has an oring so it seals it behind the plug threads pretty good & I only hand tighten it.
You getting these readings after a heat cycle?

no.... i did it cold.... should i run it first? how long should i run it for?

mine has an oring on the end of it also, i just wasnt sure if that was good enough...

132 is fine. My 96 has 138 and my old 02 had 130.

RUn itlong enough for everything to heat up to operation temperature. i would say 10 min if bike is cold.

Yup, run a nice heat cylce & you'll notice atleast a 5psi compression increase! Those are good numbers you're showing!

ok cool.... thanks guys.... i will get a new number for the shee, when its hot.... does anybody know what size cool head, and domes i may run, and still use premium pump gass?

Also make sure you hold the throttle wide open when checking!!
